Oct, 1, 2008 - An update from Gary and Sheila ...
Our "new" grandson is 9 weeks old now. He is our daughter's - Lisa - second child. She also has a 2 year old girl.
Hicks is our fifth grandson with Amilee, the girl, our only grandaughter. Good thing she lives in B. Rouge or she would be spoiled rotten!! Very proud of all of them, naturally!! Someone said grandchildren are what makes life grand!!
Our very own Jimmy Hickey was honored with a retirement luncheon September 29, 2008 for over 35 years of service in law enforcement. There were many in attendance along with several classmates. If anyone has more information, please let me know and I will pass it along.

The Class of '66 sent a donation to the Cancer Foundation League in Monroe in memory of Jerry Bennett. We received this email from Sandra...I wanted to thank the Class of 1966 for remembering Jerry in such a wonderful way. The gift that was made to the Cancer Foundation League in Memory of Jerry means so much to me and the family. I serve as an officer on the Foundation and I see so many needs each day by families whose life has been changed because of Cancer and the Cancer Foundation League has helped so many local families. I know if Jerry could be here today he would be proud to know that he went to school with such caring loving people. Thank you all for your prayers and your thoughtfulness. God Bless Sandra
January 17, 2008 - We lost Larry on June 1, 2008.
Richard visited Larry Vandenberg. He is doing better. They had a chat and caught up. Larry was glad to see Richard and hear about different classmates.
